Nordic dermatology is alive and well
The covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we practice and meet. Nearly all recent scientific and administrative meetings in the Nordic national societies of dermatology and venereology have been held digitally on Zoom or similar web-based platforms. We have all learned how to adapt.

The board of the Nordic Dermatology Association was scheduled to meet at Kastrup on March 27, but that meeting had to be cancelled.  Instead, the NDA board held a digital meeting on Zoom on September 23 discussing several items concerning Nordic cooperation in our specialty.

Most importantly, the board was presented with the plans for the 35th Nordic Congress of Dermatology and Venereology, scheduled to be held in Copenhagen on April 19-22, 2022 (please save the date!). Also, a NDA Research Committee was established. One of the first tasks for the committee will be to select the winner of a NDA Research Grant of 60,000 SEK. Lastly, we are working on ensuring that the Nordic courses are offered despite many of them having been cancelled or postponed this year and perhaps switched to a digital course next year.

We are all looking forward to meet and interact in person soon, hopefully some time in 2021.

More information on the Nordic Congress in 2022, the NDA Research Grant and upcoming Nordic courses will be sent out soon.
